We paint our radiators in one of two purpose-built spray booths at our workshops using a high-quality wet spray system. Every radiator is given two coats of primer before a top coat is applied.
Radiator finish will be in the colour of your choice. You can choose from our range of standard colours or alternatively, we are able to match any colours of paint suppliers such as Farrow and Ball, The Little Green Paint Company and Laura Ashley to meet your interior design specification, using our specialised heat proof paint, designed especially for radiators. Heritage Cast Iron Radiators also provide a specialist restoration service where we take your existing cast iron radiator and, applying our 20 years of industry experience, refurbish your radiators to the highest possible standard, creating a feature which you will be proud to display.
Customers can request any colour. We have a range of stock colours or alternatively we can colour match radiators to leading brands of paint such as Farrow & Ball, Little Green Paint Co, Sanderson and Paint and Paper Library. There is no extra cost charged for any of these colours. If a metallic colour is required, there is an extra cost of £60 per radiator.
Below are some examples of popular paint finishes.
All White is a totally pure white, creating the softest possible tone without the colder blue undertones of a brilliant white. One of Farrow & Ball’s Contemporary Neutrals, All White pairs seamlessly with Skimming Stone and Strong White for a warm scheme with a slight edge. Or for a clean and almost graphic finish, contrast with fresh, strong tones like Farrow & Ball’s Pitch Black and St Giles Blue.
Gunmetal Grey is perfect for adding depth and dimension to any room. Mid range with a neutral base, this deep, rich grey is ideal for styling accessories.
Heritage Bronze is an elegant finish bringing understated richness and warm tones to your home. Its natural mix of deep gold tones offers a unique depth of colour and is one of our most popular requests.
Our Black offers a particularly classic and stunning finish. It is a handsome and commanding option offering a dark accompaniment when paired against both traditional and contemporary neutrals tones.
A warm and delicate white
This fresh and uncomplicated white is named after the colour of lime pointing used in traditional brickwork. One of Farrow and Balls Red Based Neutrals, Pointing has a warm undertone to it which creates the prettiest of spaces when used on walls or accessories, and always softens the feel of a room alongside strong, traditional colours.
Antique Gold is an effortlessly decadent finish with no cold tones. A British cousin to our Heritage Bronze, this finish will also add richness and drama to any space and is a desirable accent against all traditional neutrals colours. Another firm favourite amongst our customers.
Athracites’ dark hues respond extrodinarily well to all types of light. While it perfectly boasts its own dramatic undertones, it is still considered a softer alternative to Black. A sophisticated choice guarateed to create the perfect accent in any space.
Another well loved classic
Our Pewter finish has slightly darker hues bringing its own mild luster. Although still considered a neutral option, it is distinctive and luxurious in its own right.
We can polish our cast iron radiators to create a luxurious finish that makes a bold design statement in any environment. Hand-polishing cast iron radiators is a highly skilled and labour-intensive process that carries a charge of £19.50 per section.
To maintain a lustrous polished finish, we recommend applying WD40 to the radiator from time-to-time to keep any moisture away from the bare polished cast iron.
